The World is Obsessed With Drugs!

I just can't understand why so much of the world is obsessed with drugs. Recently I have been exposed to so much of this drug crap, and it's really getting annoying. At my old school a lot of kids drank, and many smoked weed, but at my new school it's like everyone does weed! If I had to make an accurate estimation of how many people have smoked at least once, it would be 65%. Definitely not lower than that.

At the skate park, the kids skate half the time, and the other half of the time they smoke. Pretty much every skater smokes, and I'm pretty sure that's where they sell drugs too. Many kids at my school smell like weed, talk about getting high, and some even smoke in the bathrooms! Every time I go on tumblr, I always see pictures of weed pop up because a few people I follow who are into makeup like me are also obsessed with weed. I don't want to unfollow them, however, because I like all the makeup posts. Drugs are way too overexposed.

To express this to my facebook friends, I made a status. I didn't want to be too harsh about this because I know some of them smoke (two in particular are huge potheads). This was the status I made:

"I'm seriously tired of people being obsessed with drugs. Some people just won't stop talking about it, and I see this so much on Facebook and Tumblr. Doing drugs doesn't make you cool, and flaunting it is even dumber, don't you know the internet is forever? One day you're going to want to get a job, and you won't get it because they will look you up. Every time I see people like this I get very disappointed in them. There are some great people but what they do makes me lose my respect for them. People get busted so often because of what they post, and it can happen to you too."

Immediately, less than one minute after I posted this status, a boy I am friends with on Facebook liked my status. This boy happens to be one of the biggest smokers I know, and the status was partly about him because I recently found his twitter and noticed he tweets a lot about drugs, and twitpics pictures of him smoking or his stash of weed. I still don't understand why he liked my status, but furthermore, I don't understand why people do this sort of thing.
